The Better Business Bureau warns that a "check overpayment" scam, operating through a phony Web site, nearly cheated a Denton man out of almost $6,000. Using the name "All State Escrow", the scam set up a phony Web site. The site even displayed the Better Business Bureau name and the BBBOnLine® Reliability Program seal although the company is not a member of the BBB and does not participate in the BBBOnLine program.
